May 2010 Computer update
Kindergarten is continuing to develop their computer skills working
on programs like Math Missions and I Spy and learning more computer
vocabulary.
First grade is continuing to learn their vocabulary and the parts of
the computer. Towards the end of the month they will be beginning to
learn proper typing form on the website Dance Mat Typing.
Second grade will be learning more skills in Word and exploring
different educational websites.
Third grade will be learning about Internet Safety and exploring
computer programming.
Fourth grade having just completed presenting their Mission
PowerPoints will be returning to Excel and working on their typing
skills.
Fifth grade will be finishing up their State projects and preparing
for their Vocabulary final.
Sixth grade will begin exploring HTML programming and preparing for
their Vocabulary final.
Seventh grade will be reviewing PowerPoint Do’s & Don’ts and
preparing for their Vocabulary final.
Eighth grade is in their final days of my class and will be taking
their Skills and Vocabulary finals.
Grades 2 through 6 will continue to have their Typing Logs each week
to refine their keyboarding skills that are so essential to their
future.

websites you can use at home. Feel free to e-mail me if you have websites
you have found that would be good to add.
Assignment reminders:
- Assignments are posted to the website calendar.
Most projects have instructions attached.
- Current events must be printed and submitted
with the article attached.
- All written assignments must be in MLA format
(6-8).
- Electronic assignments should be submitted to
your folder on the server, but may be emailed in an emergency.
- Deadline sheets are handed out regularly. Be
sure to keep on top of upcoming projects.
