| The Technology Program at RHLS is built around the mission of preparing students for
the challenges they will meet in high school, college, and beyond. Curriculum is based on
the National Education Technology Standards and aligned with the state academic
curriculum. Projects teach skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet
Research/Use, and Typing while reinforcing topics studied in the classroom. Younger
students develop their fine motor skills along with their academic skills using drawing
programs like TuxPaint and KidPix. Students work on portable dual-platform MacBook
computers, generally using the Macintosh platform. Elective classes are currently offered
in Web Design and in the future will include topics like Photoshop and digital film
creation using iMovie. Click here to view Raena's Calendar. |
