elcome! The first inhabitants of the Hollywood Riviera, home to Riviera Hall Lutheran School, traveled nomadically, followed food sources, and enjoyed the beauty of the peaceful Pacific Ocean. Not much has changed in the 6,000 years or so since the coastal natives camped on the shore. Except 5,945 years later, on September 12, 1952, Riviera Hall Lutheran School opened its doors to the families of the South Bay.
This year we celebrate our fifty-sixth year of creating an environment filled with academic excellence and surrounded by the love and the word of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, where children of all faiths and denominations have been a part of this fifty-five year experience. Riviera Hall is unique in that the bond between school and home is strengthened through our faith; it is a place students, parents and faculty call home.

News for November and December
The holidays are upon us. With the Harvest Festival behind us and Thanksgiving right around the corner, Riviera Hall students, teachers and families are gearing up to spread cheer far and near. This month the RHLS family is collecting and filling shoeboxes with Christmas toys and treats for children in war torn countries. Several of our families are adopting other families for both Thanksgiving and Christmas by providing a Thanksgiving feast for those in need and a Christmas dinner and gifts for others at Christmas time.
Another highlight of the holiday season is our Annual Christmas Program. This is an evening of love, joy and celebration of the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. There will be two performances, 1PM and 6PM on Thursday, December 18. Tradition brings our alumni back to take center stage with our current students in singing “Silent Night”; there will not be a dry eye in the church.
